The School of Natural & Applied Sciences offers single and joint honours undergraduate courses of study across a range of exciting and challenging science subjects. Teaching is supported by high quality scientific research and scholarship with modern, well equipped laboratories on the Brayford campus and a crime scene house at the Riseholme campus.

Honorary Degree Boosts Cancer Research at Lincoln
Professor Sir Alex Markham who has worked at the cutting edge of medicine for over 35 years was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science (DSc) at the summer degree ceremony recently. The University of Lincoln has a number of headline research projects involving our cancer research group.

Biomedical Science at LincolnBSc Biomedical Science. The Biomedical Science degree course has accreditation from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and includes lectures and practical lab techniques that are delivered by experienced medical practitioners and biomedical scientists from the local Lincolnshire Hospital Trust.

Human Nutrition at LincolnBSc Forensic Science fulfils the growing demand for expertise in investigatory, enforcement and monitoring work, including incident scene investigation, physical evidence collection, laboratory analysis of evidence and defence of testimony. .

New for 2011 Erasmus Mundus Masters in Forensic Science.

The School maintains excellent links with industry and professional practices, and offers opportunities for work experience and relevant placements, both in the UK and abroad. These links also help to strengthen the research profile of the School and currently support projects in crime scene investigation, forensic science, archaeological science, biomedical science, sports science and food science/technology. International Fingerprint Week - April 2012
