Incubation Centre

Start As You Mean To Go On

Business start-ups can be notoriously fragile, and they need all the support and advice they can get. Fewer than half of new businesses survive their first two years, but the statistics for start-ups in purpose-built units is more encouraging; on average 98 per cent of businesses succeed while in a business incubator.

The University of Lincoln opened its own incubation centre, Sparkhouse, in 2003 and since then it as helped more than 200 companies to get started.  We provide an environment that gives new businesses access to specialist support services, knowledge and facilities.

Our office accommodation offers stepped rental packages with access to specialist support training / seminars / workshops, networking opportunities and access to a network of external business support.

Not every new business requires a physical office space but could still benefit from the support and services Sparkhouse offers. Our virtual services can be tailored to suit your needs, giving access to a reliable service that conveys a professional image. From using the centre as a registered office address to our secretarial and telephone answering services, our Virtual Office is flexible to suit the demands of any business.
