Our Careers and Employability team provide a service to hundreds of employers seeking to recruit the best in graduate talent. We have a bespoke vacancy management system, which emails our students and graduates vacancies of specific interest to them. Our team of career professionals are experts in the graduate labour market and we offer free consultancy to businesses looking to recruit graduates.

As a business it is really important for us that we retain local design talent. Recruiting an intern was simple and straight forward and within a short space of time we had a graduate in place, producing work for us. The scheme has enabled us to work closely with our intern, developing their skill set to a standard that meets the needs of our business to become a Ruddocks designer – as well as expose them to the full range of our design agency and print production facilities.

If you are looking to fill a graduate-level job, or have part-time vacancies or placements suitable for undergraduate students, we can help you throughout the recruitment process. We offer a free vacancy handling service, which allows you to target our students with your opportunities and ensures you have the best chance of securing the right talent for your company. 

Many of our students are keen to develop new skills to improve their prospects when they graduate from university. For some the offer of a summer placement is a great way to fit this around their studies, as well as help determine their future career choices. With a range of funding schemes available, recruiting a student or graduate intern can help support them, as well as providing you with the opportunity to explore the value of injecting their fresh ideas into your business

You can raise the profile of your organisation and the opportunities that you may have among our students and graduates by providing us with an employer profile for our dedicated careers website. This is a great way to raise awareness of your brand, whilst also helping us to ensure our students have a clear and accurate understanding of the labour market.

Internship Funding Schemes 

The University of Lincoln provides various funding schemes to support employers. Contact the Careers team to find out more. 

University of Lincoln Graduate Internship Funding Scheme

The University of Lincoln Graduate Internship Funding Scheme provides £1,000 to any paid graduate-level internship lasting for a minimum of three months with at least 20 hours a week.

Santander SME Internship Funding Scheme

The University of Lincoln has a partnership with Santander to provide funding to support student and graduate positions. Sliding scale of funding available from £300 up to £1500.

Innovation Programme for Greater Lincolnshire Funding Scheme

This scheme is available to SMEs in Greater Lincolnshire with 250 or less employees and annual turnover of £50 million or less. Funding is for £1,500 for 3 months.
