What is Adjustment?

If you have done better than expected in your exams you may be eligible to use Adjustment. The Adjustment process is when you have met or exceeded the conditions of your firm choice on UCAS and means you have the option of choosing to look for a different course with higher entry requirements. Adjustment allows you to hold your confirmed place while you research and secure an alternative course.

Top Tips for Adjustment

  • Consider whether Adjustment is the bset choice for you and talk to a careers adviser or teacher about your options 
  • Register for Adjustment in UCAS Track
  • You have five days from when your firm offer becomes unconditional to use Adjustment
  • You will still have your original university place if you do not find one through Adjustment
  • Research the university you would like to attend. There is no vacancy list for Adjustment but you can contact the university admissions team directly
  • If you are interested in one of our courses, please call our hotline +44 (0)1522 886097. Remember to tell us you are applying through Adjustment and provide your Personal ID
  • The university will check you are eligible for Adjustment
  • You can only accept one Adjustment offer
  • If you are offered a place, the university will send you an email about what you need to do next and when you need to do this by
