Ibrahim Zubairu“I found the University of Lincoln to be one of the fastest growing academic institutions in the UK with the right learning environment, friendly and efficient teaching and administrative staff. I studied my Masters here in Lincoln and due to the unique professional and academic training that I received, the multicultural background, support staff and a friendly community, I decided to pursue my PhD at Lincoln University too.”

Ibrahim Zubairu (Accra, Ghana) – PhD Finance

Zhenhong Zhao “I chose to study at the University of Lincoln because it is a safe, clean and friendly city with a comprehensive academic atmosphere. I am so proud of being a student at the University because I can learn much about my subject with the support and guidance of my supervisor. I have also learnt more about British culture by taking part in all kinds of social activities in the city.”

Zhenhong Zhao (Tangshan, China) – PhD Educational Research & Development

Mari Nymoen“Lincoln is a beautiful city with a variety of things to do and see. There is a really modern part, and an old part of the city, so there is something for everyone. Everything is really close, it’s safe and it is not too expensive either. I’m really pleased that I decided to come to Lincoln.”

Mari Nymoen (Telemark, Norway) – BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Tian Zezhong“I came to Lincoln for doctoral study because of the collaborative programme between University of Lincoln and the university I work at in China. I already knew about Lincoln city from my colleagues and university classmates. They told me that Lincoln is a beautiful, clean, historical, peaceful and safe place for living and studying. There is the famous Cathedral and the Castle with hundreds of years of history standing at the top of the hill.

Although the University of Lincoln is new and young, it has developed quickly. In 2012, it has risen to 47 in the Guardian rankings. So it is a promising university. All these things made me want to come to Lincoln, and I enjoy my life here. I believe it will be a wonderful experience in my life.”

Tian Zezhong (Tangshan, China) - PhD Educational Research & Development

Even though I was far away from friends and family, the cross-cultural international representation of students at Lincoln made me feel at home.

The University recognises the importance of giving students the opportunity to develop knowledge and ability in ways that will equip you for a wide range of careers by providing both research and professional training."

zheng"I loved Lincoln at first sight. Ancient Roman style buildings stand on the sides of clean streets and warm smiles can be seen in every shop and office. With relatively cheap rent and very good public security, Lincoln is more than suitable to start an overseas study life.

The careers service offered are a highlight. They help students with their CVs, and provide lots of information to help students get employment, both while they study and for their careers. I have benefitted a lot from them."
