India Admissions Facility

‌Our India Facility is managed by Namita Lotlikar and was established in 2011 to support the University’s strategic relationship with India. The main activities undertaken by the India facility are:

  • Generating offers and interviewing applicants where necessary
  • Giving direct personal support to Indian enquirers and applicants
  • Attending education fairs in cities across India
  • Delivering pre-departure briefings for students in India
  • Maintaining links with University of Lincoln Alumni in India
  • Developing partnerships with universities, research institutions, government agencies, companies and associations.

Visa Requirements

The UK Border Agency website includes detailed information on how to apply for your visa.

You will need to show details of your acceptance onto a programme, your offer letter and evidence of sufficient funding to support your education and living expenses while you are in the UK.

Undergraduate Entry

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) grade of 24-27 depending on the course you have applied for
  • A-Level qualifications
  • Indian XII qualification awarded by CBSE/ State / Metropolitan Examination Board. Applicants with a minimum aggregate of 70% in Standard XII with 80% in key subjects will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate degree programmes
  • If you require a foundation qualification, this can be undertaken at the University of Lincoln International Study Centre (www.studygroup.com/isc/lincoln).

60% in Standard XII English from  CBSE/ State / Metropolitan Examination Board for courses requiring IELTS or 6.0

IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score)

TOEFL 550 (paper based)

TOEFL 79 (Internet)

Journalism programmes require IELTS 7.0

Postgraduate
Entry

  • A good Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in India or the UK with a minimum grade of 50%
  • Applicants seeking MPhil/PhD or Research masters degrees will need to provide research proposals.
