Entry Requirements

  General Qualification Requirement English Language 

Vitnemål fra den Videregaende Skole achieving overall average of VVO 4 or above.

For students wishing to apply for Art and Design subjects, an average of VVO 3.5 may be considered if supported by a strong portfolio.

For some programmes additional subjects will be required.


  • GCSE English grade C or above
  • IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score)
  • Vitnemål English Language: grade minimum VVO4

Journalism programmes require IELTS 7.0 or VVO5

Good Bachelor degree from a recognised institution

Scholarships available to Norwegian students

Academic Excellence Scholarships of £5,000 each for the following subjects:-     

2 x scholarships available for LLM International Law

1 x scholarship available for MA Journalism

1 x scholarship available for MA Science and Environmental Journalism

1 x scholarship available for MSC Developmental Psychology

Academic entry criteria
Bachelor Degree with a Grade A or First in a related subject

English Language requirements

English Language IELTS 6.5 or above with at least 6 in each element or equivalent, eg Vitnemål 4.0

For Journalism IELTS 7.0 or above with 6.5 in each element or equivalent, eg Vitnemål 5.0

Global Scholarships of £2,000 are available for

all Norwegian students who meet the general entry criteria for the postgraduate course applied for


Science and Arts Scholarships of £1,500 for Bachelor students

studying on laboratory and studio based programmes costing £14,500 for first year only
