How you pay for accommodation
Usually, you will be expected to pay rent either monthly or termly. You might be asked to pay in advance.
Some landlords ask for a month or full term's rent in advance. You will have to pay this before moving in. Please note that this payment may be due before you receive any Maintenance Grants or Loans. You may have to arrange finance to cover this interim period.
You pay a down payment as a holding fee to secure your accommodation when you book - you should get this back when you are resident.
Some landlords ask for a deposit to be paid before you move in. This is what you pay the landlord as security against property damage etc. It is refundable when you leave the property, provided that it is left in the same condition as when you moved in. Residential ‘Partnership Halls’ have been developed with landlords in line with the City of Lincoln Accreditation Scheme, specifically for students of the University of Lincoln. These have been developed in association with the University Accommodation Service and are all within a five minutes walk of the main Brayford Pool campus.
This development is situated opposite the University on Brayford Wharf North and overlooks the waterfront. Its 402 en-suite bedrooms are divided into six-bedroom apartments and studio apartments.
Facilities include broadband internet access, a television in each kitchen/lounge area with Freeview and free TV licence.

Hayes Wharf is a purpose-built student residence overlooking the Brayford Pool campus. Its 224 en-suite bedrooms are provided in shared apartments of two to five bedrooms.
Facilities include an LCD television in every apartment, on-site laundry facilities and internet access. Personal possessions insurance is included.
Rent for 2014/2015 is £5,040 to £5,520 a year. Deposit £150 and a non-refundable £50 booking fee.
Located in the city centre, just opposite the university, The Junxion offers 569 en-suite bedrooms provided in four, five or six-bedroom apartments with fully fitted living areas.
Designed around a central courtyard, facilities include a lounge, laundrette and cash machines. All apartments have leather sofas, 32” LCD televisions, free TV licence, Freeview and dishwashers. Contents insurance and broadband internet in all bedrooms is included in the rent.
Rent for 2014/2015 is £5,448. Deposit £150. £20 Booking Fee.
Located close to the Brayford Pool campus and a two-minute walk from the city centre, Park Court is a purpose built development offering 289 en-suite study bedrooms arranged as four and five-bedroom apartments with a shared fully fitted kitchen.
Facilities include WiFi and Broadband, IPTV, a lounge with 50” Plasma TV, Freeview and DVD player, contents insurance, on-site laundry facilities and a pool table.
Rent for 2014/2015 £4,232 a year. £150 refundable deposit.
The Pavilions are adjacent to the University’s Sports and Recreation Centre. The accommodation provides 1,329 en-suite bedspaces ranging from self-contained studio flats to six-bedroom apartments which include leather sofas, 32” LCD televisions with free TV licence and Freeview.
There is also an on-site launderette. Contents insurance and broadband internet in all bedrooms is included.

These developments are located off-campus but are all within five to fifteen minutes’ walk from the University and city centre.
Aqua House is situated on the north bank of the Fossdyke canal, on Harvey Street, less than half a mile from the city centre and the main Brayford Pool campus. The building consists of 80 study bedrooms with television and wireless internet access. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry facilities are shared.
Rents for 2014/2015 are £2,928 to £3,744. Deposit £100. £150 for a car parking permit.
This secure, purpose-built development of 22 apartments each containing between three and six bedrooms is situated on Carholme Road, only a few minutes walk from the main Brayford Pool campus. Each kitchen is fully equipped and includes crockery and cutlery. Bedrooms have wireless internet access.

Cathedral Street Apartments
This development of 94 study bed spaces comprises 24 apartments. Each has two to six bedrooms with shared kitchens and shower rooms. Each apartment has its own separate lounge. It provides free broadband internet possessions insurance is included.
Rents for 2014/15 are £3,744 to £4,080 a year. Down payment is from £100-£255.
Located close to the Brayford campus, College Mews has 25 en-suite study bedrooms which have shared kitchens plus on-site laundry facilities. Free broadband internet.

Danesgate House is being refurbished over the summer of 2014 and will be ready for the start of term. It is being changed into a fully en-suite development of 249 bedrooms. Apartments range in size from 4 – 16 bedrooms.
Rents for 2014/15 range from £4752 to £5,280. Deposit £250.
Studio rents for 2014/15 are £6,630. Deposit £250.
Hayes House is only yards away from the main Brayford Pool campus. The 19 en-suite study bedrooms have wireless broadband and shared kitchen facilities with a dishwasher, cable TV and on-site laundry.
