Studying at a university in a different language to your own can be challenging and that’s why the University of Lincoln offers a range of in-sessional support to help you during your time here in Lincoln.
The University’s English Language Centre offers a range of free courses to current students, giving them the opportunity to improve social language skills and better understand British culture. Current courses include:
All students registering with the English Language Centre will need to complete a short test, called the Lincoln English Language Assessment (LELA), which will help determine which in-sessional courses will be most helpful to them.
Individual consultations with experienced English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tutors are also available for students who feel they need additional one-to-one support.
Your English experience doesn’t begin and end in Lincoln. To help you experience as much British life and culture as possible, the English Language Centre organises a series of coach trips to other UK cities throughout the year.
