To help you prepare, the following information provides guidance on the entrance requirements you will need to meet, alongside further information in support of your application.

Entry Requirements

Prospective students from Saudi Arabia are required to meet the following University of Lincoln entry requirements:

  • Successful completion of General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawiahiya) with average of 50%. For more information about our Foundation International Year 1 courses click here.
  • Successful completion of General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawiahiya) and a recognised Foundation course.
  • You may also be considered if you hold a two year Post Tawjiahiya from a Higher Technical Institute or Commercial Institute
  • Students who have completed A-Levels, IB or SATs can apply for direct entry to Year 1 of undergraduate programmes

 

Advanced Entry (Undergraduate)

Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course.

  • Successful completion of a 4 year bachelor degree from a recognised Saudi University with an average of ‘good’ or grade point average 2.8/4 or 3.2/5 or 65% (these are equivalent to a UK 2:2 grade).
  • We also accept students with a 3 year UK bachelor degree.
  • MPhil/PhD applicants require a master degree as well as a Bachelor degree.

English Language Requirements

Applicants will require:

  • IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score)
  • Pearson Tests Overall score: 54 (Listening: 51, Speaking: 51, Reading 51, Writing 51)

Students who do not meet the above English language requirements may be eligible for entry onto a Pre Sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) course.

Tuition Fees

Scholarships

Each year, the University of Lincoln is delighted to award a number of scholarships and bursaries to suitably qualified students from around the world. Depending on your academic ability, intended programme of study and nationality, the level of scholarship / bursary can vary.

Each year we are delighted to award a number of scholarships to academically gifted students from across Saudi Arabia. Depending on your academic ability and intended programme of study, there are a range of scholarships which may be available.

For 2018/19, the following scholarships are available to suitably qualified students from Saudi Arabia:

Undergraduate Scholarships

  • £2,000 Undergraduate Scholarships available to students enrolling onto the first year of an undergraduate degree*
  • £1,000 Scholarships available to students entering onto an undergraduate final year ‘top up’ programme (e.g. year 3 entry)*

 

Postgraduate Scholarships

  • £5,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship available for students that hold a first class degree
  • £2,000 Global Merit Scholarships available to students enrolling onto a postgraduate (taught or masters by research) programme with a minimum GPA of 2.3 (or equivalent)*


* This is an automatic scholarship which will be awarded to you if you meet the requirements.
