BOOK BOOSTING STUDENTS’ CONFIDENCE

Students facing the daunting task of writing a dissertation or thesis can now turn to a new book written by a Lincoln academic to help them succeed.

Dr Brian White, PhD Programme Manager in the School of Management at the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, is an authority on how to make the most of what is considered to be a mammoth task.

His expertise on research methods and dissertation skills is in demand internationally, and Dr White has just returned from Germany where he lectured at a management workshop.

“The book has already had some really positive feedback,” said Dr White. “Students have said its really helped boost their confidence in researching and writing their dissertation.”

Dr White has lectured around the world - students and managers in Dubai, Israel, Holland and Spain have benefited from his long experience of the difficulties involved.

The book, ‘Dissertation Skills for Business and Management Students’, is available from all good bookshops and on the Internet. It is priced £9.99 and published by Cassell.
