Empowering Female Entrepreneurs – The University of Lincoln Female Founders Graduate Accelerator Programme 

The University of Lincoln is delighted to launch the Female Founders Graduate Accelerator programme, aimed at addressing the critical start-up support & funding gap faced by female entrepreneurs in the UK. Starting in March 2024, this accelerator programme is here to support graduates, guiding them through the ins and outs of starting their own business or freelancing. Additionally, participants will be able to access grant funding to help them with those crucial start-up and scale costs. 

Please note that the full eligibility criteria are located within the application form; however, please be aware that this programme is for University of Lincoln graduates within the last three years who must not be currently trading as a business and must be legally able to set up a business in the UK

Graduate Start-up Accelerator Programme 

The Graduate Start-up Accelerator Programme aims to support recent University of Lincoln pre-start Graduate entrepreneurs to start-up in business, assisting them to develop their creative, entrepreneurial ideas into a growing business through a programme of support and opportunity to pitch for grant funding.

The programme is delivered fully online and in partnership with Stuart Hartley, from Incrementa. Comprising seven virtual workshops covering all aspects of starting and growing a business. Applicants must have graduated from the University of Lincoln within the last three years.

Introducing the Student Enterprise Conference 2024

The Student Enterprise team are pleased to announce their annual Student Enterprise Conference taking place on Wednesday 21 February, 10am-3pm, in the Engine Shed.

Across the course of the day, there will be two panel discussions and a keynote session. The first panel of the day will focus on finance and investment, with experts in the field addressing the barriers and opportunities presented to young entrepreneurs.

The second panel will showcase successful University of Lincoln graduate business owners, sharing their journey and insights into the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.

Following each panel, the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a Q+A, gaining advice and knowledge from those who have been there before!

The day will conclude with a keynote session detailing Artificial Intelligence for Entrepreneurs, led by Kay Kukoyi, a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and the CEO and Founder of Purposeful Group. Recognised by the Financial Times and Inclusive Boards as one of the 100 most influential BAME leaders in the UK technology sector, Kay will walk us through the current AI landscape, exploring the associated uses, opportunities, and risks.
