Support the University

Make a Difference

The University of Lincoln has established an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. Our academic teams are involved in research at the leading edge of their disciplines, from developing new antibiotics and more effective cancer treatments, to tackling the digital divide and preserving historical artefacts. This research is changing the world and its quality and relevance is recognised nationally and internationally. More than three quarters of Lincoln’s research was judged to be internationally excellent or world-leading in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 - the most recent major assessment of research standards across UK universities.

We are extremely grateful for the support and contributions we have already received that have helped to make the University of Lincoln what it is today, but to continue this journey we need your support. Through a generous gift you can help support the next generation of students and researchers.

Transforming Lives

Student Cost-of-Living Campaign

From travel bursaries to emergency hardship funds, a donation can make a real difference to real people aspiring to improve their life chances through higher education.

In Memory of John Kelly

The John Kelly Prize

It is with great sadness that we announce that John Kelly passed away on Thursday 7th November 2024 after a short illness. This news comes as a terrible shock to the Law School community, and we keep John’s family and friends in our thoughts at this difficult time. We are creating a prize in memory of John which will support Lincoln Law School students.

Lincoln Swan Project

Support Our Research

The Lincoln Swan Project is a collaboration between Keele University and the University of Lincoln. The project aims to understand the ecology, behaviour, health and welfare of Mute Swans. In 2017 the project started a programme of colour ringing swans on the waterways in and around Lincoln, which enables our researchers to monitor their health. The project has now ringed over 300 swans, however, gifts to support our research into these symbols of our city are still needed.

The Impact of Your Donations

Funding scholarships, bursaries, and prizes help attract and retain students who may otherwise struggle financially to complete their degrees.

Supporting our widening participation agenda allows students from underrepresented groups equal access to a university education.

Funding research allows us to learn more about the world around us and helps the university contribute to global research.

Donations towards buildings, facilities, and maintenance help ensure our campus and learning environments are the best we can provide for current and future students.

The Andrew Stevenson Award

The Andrew Stevenson Award was created by Andrew Stevenson's parents and family in his memory to recognise an exceptional student each year that has shown the spirit of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship within their business/idea.

Support Our Students

Gifts to support our students allow us to continue to deliver high-quality education and opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. Your donation could help us to create and maintain specialist facilities, or even offer named scholarships, prizes, and bursaries to ensure that financial hardship need not deter talented students.

Support Our Research

Our academic teams are involved in research at the leading edge of their disciplines. It is vital that we support those who are learning, teaching, and researching by ensuring they have the opportunities, facilities, and resources to reach their full potential. Your gift today could mean a world-changing discovery tomorrow.

Support Our Campus

Over the past two decades, the University has invested around £400 million in its Brayford Pool Campus, with further plans to invest in additional facilities and refurbishments of existing buildings. Much of this has only been made possible by donors who were determined to ensure that we can provide the best learning environment for our students.
