Our Clearing Guide

We can't wait to welcome all of our new students this September. To help you secure your place through Clearing, follow our step-by-step guide.

Clearing for September 2025 has now closed. Applications are now open for 2026 entry to our undergraduate courses, and you can apply through UCAS. The equal consideration deadline for most courses is 14 January 2026.

1

Find Your Course

Clearing is now open and you can view which of our courses have spaces through Clearing on UCAS and on our website. Take note of important information such as entry requirements and course content. In Clearing, we can often make offers to students who don't fully meet our published entry requirements – just call us to check.

2

Apply

If you have your results, you don't need to wait until A Level Results Day to apply to us in Clearing - you can apply now. During Clearing, contact us to find out if we can make you an offer, and you can often get a decision straight away. Have your UCAS account, Clearing number, Personal ID, course name, and grades to hand.

3

Add Your Choice

Once you've received an offer from us, simply add us as a choice on UCAS. Remember, spaces at Clearing are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

4

Visit Us

Visiting us in person is the best way to find out what the University of Lincoln is really like. You can do this at our Open House events in August or join us at our summer Open Days in July.

5

Organise Your Student Finance

You don't need a confirmed place to apply for student finance. If you are intending to apply to us then simply put us down as your preferred university choice. Your funding can help cover expenses such as accommodation, tuition fees, and living costs.

6

Choose Your Accommodation

We guarantee an offer of a room in accommodation to all new undergraduate students who apply for accommodation before 31 August 2025. Our range of modern residences place you in the heart of the city, and only a short walk from your lectures and the high street.
