This course aims to provide an understanding of food hygiene legislation and give first tier workers an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene practice. This one day course is delivered on site at The National Centre for Food Manufacturing, Holbeach and can also be delivered on business premises.
Topics of study include and introduction to food safety, law, food safety hazards, temperature control, heat processing of foods, food handlers, principles of safe food storage, cleaning, food premises, and equipment.
This course is assessed through multiple-choice examination. Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.
