Course  Overview

This one-day course has been developed by the Lincoln Institute of Agri-technology and is designed to introduce you to key sustainability concepts in the agri-food supply chain.

The course is designed for agriculture and food industry professionals, retail and sourcing agronomists and technologists, and those interested n sustainable food systems or part of procurement strategies. By focusing on the three pillars of sustainability, carbon foot printing, and life cycle analysis, you can gain an understanding to of how to reduce your business or organisations' environmental impact and related costs.

How You Study

Teaching is delivered online and across seven hours by subject experts. You can explore topics such as the three pillars of sustainability, the importance of sustainability, sustainable farming methods, processing and packaging, food waste management, carbon footprinting, and life cycle analysis, as well as using case studies.

As part of the course, there will opportunities for group discussions and chances to contextualise your learning through your own experiences.

How you are assessed

The course is not credit bearing and has no assessments. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
