Be Inspired - Criminal Justice
29 Apr 2025
9.30am
Brayford Pool Campus
Event Information
Join academics from across the subjects of law, forensic psychology, criminology, and forensic science as follow a criminal case from the crime scene to the course.
Subject specific workshops explore different aspects of a case's path through the legal system. Practicing lawyers will help students to examine the definitions of the alleged crime and apply those definitions to the case.
Forensic scientists return to the scene of the crime to examine an exhibit related to the incident. Students can then use University of Lincoln facilities to see if they can link forensic evidence with the victim and perpetrator.
Criminologists will consider the implications of imprisonment, and students can design a better way of running a modern prison system.
To try and understand the motives for the crime, students can plan interview questions for the perpetrator with guidance from forensic psychologists.
