The University of Lincoln is a proud provider of Skills Bootcamps, which form a part of the UK Government’s Skills for Life initiative, facilitated in our region by the Greater Lincolnshire LEP in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council. These bootcamps have been made possible thanks to £2m in Government funding for across Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland in 2023 and a further £3m for courses in 2024. They are flexible courses of at least 60 hours of training, giving people the opportunity to gain new skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer, or gain new skills in an existing job. They are free to all learners and can be online, face-to-face, or a mixture of both depending on the subject.
This Skills Bootcamp will support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours of Process Leaders and manufacturing operatives crucial in various organisational settings, focusing on both large-scale production and the creation of bespoke products.
