The Lincoln Centre for Ecological Justice hosts over 70 academics and researchers working across the disciplinary domain of ecological justice, broadly defined. Our research links directly to a number of core University research themes that span the College of Health and Science and the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, including Net Zero and Climate Change, Agri-food Technology, Coastal and Rural Health, Natural Heritage, and Culture and Creativity, as well as the environmental humanities. Our academics and researchers take a truly transdisciplinary approach to research on these themes whether through portraying, delivering, and/or understanding ecological justice, to find tangible solutions to current environmental emergencies. Much of our research aligns to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Reducing Inequality, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life On Land, and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and we have a strong emphasis on understanding ecological justice at and across different temporal, spatial and sectoral scales.
