Your Application Journey

Our step-by-step guide to help you support your young person when applying for a course at the University of Lincoln.

1

Attend an Open Day

Before applying, it’s important to visit a university to get a real feel for what it might be like to study there. Make time to explore the city to see if it’s somewhere they can picture themselves living.

2

Make an application

Applications for full-time courses are made through UCAS. These can usually be submitted from September of the year before study begins. Keep checking UCAS Hub for an offer or any invitations to interview.

3

Receive and accept an offer

Once they’ve received an offer, they’ll need to reply and choose their firm and insurance (first and second) choices. Find out more about the different types of offers that can be made, how to reply, and key deadlines.

4

Apply for accommodation

Accommodation applications at Lincoln usually open in November. They'll be able to apply for accommodation on our website once they’ve received and accepted an offer from us as their first choice on UCAS.

5

Attend an Offer Holder Day

Once they have received an offer, they will be invited to an Offer Holder Day where they can experience their subject through a range of exciting subject-specific activities.

6

Apply for student finance

Student finance applications usually start in the spring of the year they will start their studies. Visit www.gov.uk/student-finance for full details. A range of financial support information is available on our website.
