Be Inspired Days

Inspiring Your Students

Our Be Inspired programme is all about inspiring your post-16 students, allowing them to explore a subject area they are interested in and helping them to make informed decisions when it comes to applying for university.

Led by our expert academic teams, and using the University’s specialist facilities, these free events offer so much more than just a taster session. Students can get a real feel for a subject area, test-driving a selection of specific degree programmes within a particular area, which can help them discover the study options available and the potential career paths these programmes can open.

The events typically run from 9.30am until 2.30pm and provide insight into studying well-known subjects at degree level, as well as introducing related subjects from the same field which tend to be unfamiliar to school- and college-level students. They are designed for small groups of 15-25 students.

Be Inspired Days are also insightful for attending staff, enabling them to gain experience within their subject areas and to see our facilities up close. Be Inspired Days are also an opportunity to gain knowledge of current university programmes, to better support your students back in the classroom.
