Introduction

The Certificate of Higher Education in Psychology is a one year programme of study which aims to introduce students to key concepts in psychology, including cognition, development, social psychology, biological psychology, and research skills.


Modules

All Level 1 modules of the BSc (Hons) Psychology programme must be successfully completed for the award of the Certificate of Higher Education. The programme has been designed to give students the opportunity, upon completion, to progress directly into Level 2 of one of our full degree programmes in Psychology.

Assessment

The way students are assessed on this course may vary for each module. Examples of assessment methods that may be used include essays, in-class tests, research reports, research diaries, research or clinical proposals, and dissertations; practical exams, such as poster and oral presentations, performances or observations; and written exams (including essay-based exams), such as formal examinations, or in-class tests.
