Travel Information

By Road

The major road routes to Lincoln include the A1 at Newark (A46) from the South and near Retford (A57) from the North. The city is 40 miles east of Nottingham on the A46 and 40 miles south of the Humber Bridge on the A15. The M1 is also less than an hour's drive away.

Once in Lincoln, you'll find the entrance to the University's main Brayford Pool Campus car park on Rope Walk, near its junction with Tritton Road (postcode LN6 7DQ). During our weekend Open Days, guests will be able to park at the Boulevard Car Park site, although spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. There is a range parking options in the city centre.

By Rail

Lincoln Central Railway Station is located in the city centre, just a few minutes' walk from our Brayford Pool Campus. The station is fully accessible for wheelchair users. Direct trains to/from London King's Cross take around two hours. There are also frequent rail connections to major cities, including Sheffield, Nottingham, Doncaster, Leicester, and Leeds.

By Air

A number of airports are within easy reach of Lincoln, providing direct links to locations around the world. These include East Midlands, Humberside, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, and Gatwick and Heathrow in London, where many of our international students fly to before making their way to Lincoln.
